It was an exciting time of ministry in the Cayman Islands. Quite busy. On Friday we began the day with a school program. Lots of fun the kids were great! Friday evening I did a program with the student ministry of the church. Saturday morning there was a program with the kids ministry that was “all out” and the kids were responsive but a bit “wild”. Fun!
Sunday morning began at 7 a.m. with a baptism in the ocean. I played Amazing Grace as the service began and the service was beautiful. The worship service was great that morning at the church with observance of the Lord’s Supper. I did 20 minutes of my ministry then the Lord’s Supper. At the invitation there was an altar full including one profession of faith from a gentleman the pastor had been “working on” for a very long time and although keeping the relationship felt as though he would never see that man come to Christ. Praise the Lord!
Sunday afternoon Patty and I flew to the island, Cayman Brac, to do a joint worship service for the island making history. It was the first time in anyone’s memory where all the churches attempted to join together for a service. A wonderful night, again with an altar full in prayer at the conclusion.
We flew back to Grand Cayman on Monday morning and took a couple of days to “recover” and have some time for ourselves. We arrived back in Birmingham around 9 p.m. last night and headed home getting in around 12:30 a.m.
Thanks for the prayers,
John
