Patty and I had a nice day today celebrating our 32nd anniversary. \u00a0Obviously there were limits to what we could do being out on the road so Patty asked if we could go to Pizza Hut for lunch. \u00a0That was where we went for our first date. \u00a0So….that’s what we did. \u00a0Nice day!<\/p>\n

A wild time tonight as The Debt was paid off. \u00a0The debt went something like this. \u00a0Every VBS \u00a0has an offering as you know. \u00a0It was a unique offering of canned goods. \u00a0The church wanted to take up canned goods for the county’s Crisis Center so they set a goal of 250 cans of food. \u00a0The deal was, if the kids made their goal the preacher would have to “run the gauntlet” on Thursday night. \u00a0The gauntlet consisted of kids on both sides making a lane and loaded with buckets of water, water balloons, and the like. \u00a0Well, tonight’s total was 388 cans. \u00a0Awesome!! \u00a0The preacher AND his wife ran though. \u00a0The kids had a blast and the two were super sports!<\/p>\n

Tomorrow night we will have family night and a commencement of sorts. \u00a0We will have our program, let some of the kids share, and of course I’ll have a friend make an appearance. \u00a0Afterwards we’ll eat something!<\/p>\n

We sure appreciate your prayers as we continue the work. \u00a0Probably won’t be blogging tomorrow night. \u00a0It will be late by the time we load out at the church.<\/p>\n

I’ll check back in when we get to TX on Saturday evening!<\/p>\n
