Here we are in Phenix City, AL.\u00a0 We left home at 12 noon today to get here, set up, and get situated.\u00a0 We arrived and went straight to the church, Golden Acres Baptist Church, to move in equipment.\u00a0 Once we set up the children’s pastor asked us what we’d like to do.\u00a0 Did we want to go grab a bite or what?\u00a0 We wanted to go by the hotel to move in equipment, after all it was only 4 p.m.\u00a0 We told him we would meet at the resturant around 5.\u00a0 He looked at me and said; “Well, that’s about 3 minutes from now”.\u00a0 Hmmmmmm.\u00a0 Here’s a bit of trivia for you.\u00a0 Phenix City is the only city in the state of AL that is on eastern\u00a0 time zone.\u00a0 This is because it is the sister city of Columbus, GA, but did any of my AL friends tell me that?\u00a0 Huh?\u00a0 Nope!\u00a0 Not even the children’s pastor in all of our phone and e-mail messages leading up to this event.\u00a0 Whew……I’m sure glad we arrived when we did.<\/p>\n
He wanted to have the salvation emphasis tonight.\u00a0 The numbers were a bit low so the energy level was down a bit.\u00a0 We had a few responses that are going to be followed up on so pray for the seed that was planted.\u00a0 In the meantime, we’ll keep pressing on for Tues and Wed.<\/p>\n
