What a great night. This little church has worked so hard to reach out to the community. There has been a little growth but primarily middle aged and older adults, meaning NO children.
\nThis past week about 30 people went through the neighborhoods placing a little hand-bill on doors advertising the VBS. Everything was scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and at quarter til we had 3 kids. We were praying and children began showing up. We actually were delayed in beginning, wanting each child to get the full measure of the opening with me and my friends. By 6:15 we had 42 and finished with 44 for the night. The workers of the church were so excited and blessed.
\nThe kids really seemed to have a good time and we look forward to what lies ahead. Keep praying. You know, in kids work, if they don’t show up it’s generally not their fault so pray for the parents and for their heart’s desire to get these kids in church….even if it’s just to have a night out with their spouse.<\/p>\n
