Filling the pulpit and preaching The Word in the church where I grew up and my dad pastored for 30 years was a special time. \u00a0The worship leader lead the congregation and I did a special music spot, played the offertory and preached. \u00a0Everyone was so gracious and receptive and the \u00a0reunion and reflection of my growing years was special.<\/p>\n
Tomorrow morning we will kick off Vacation Bible School and will run through Friday. \u00a0Pray for lives to be changed. \u00a0Pray for the salvation of the lost. Pray for vocal strength to do the work and pray for all the volunteers giving of their time this week.<\/p>\n
On the personal side, Patty and I were thrilled that her dad made it to the church service today. \u00a0His first time in at least 6 months. \u00a0We are so excited. \u00a0We will feel better when we meet with the oncologist Friday and see whats going on and where we go from here. \u00a0We would appreciate your continued prayers on his behalf.<\/p>\n
