Things went well today as I took it a little easy early on the headed to the church around 2 for the 3 p.m. wedding. I used the crutches, hopefully the last time and everything went well. The knee began to bother me just a bit by the end so we didn’t go to the reception but came on home and iced down.
Tomorrow I’ll be up at the church for a rehearsal at 8 a.m. TRUTH concert tomorrow evening will be a good but long day.
Thanks for checking in!

Wool whoooo, shower day!!
Got to finally get a shower, 2 days after surgery. Man, that was great! I’m still on crutches but not a lot of pain involved now so I’m grateful.
Tonight I will go to the wedding rehearsal tonight and will continue to take it slow and easy and do all I can to keep things moving in a positive direction.
Blessings,
John
R & R
It was a day of R & R today, only it stands for recovery and rehearsal. Woke this morning feeling like what Nancy Kerrigan must have felt all those years ago. My knee really smarted so I have taken it a bit easy today with a little home rehab and ice then had a run through of the music I’m playing at a wedding this weekend.
I’m not a real good patient but Patty is taking good care of me.
Tomorrow I’m pretty sure I’ll be feeling the “3rd Day” thing so I’ll lay low until the rehearsal at 5:30.
Thanks again for thinking about us!

Knee Surgery…A. Ok!
Thanks for the prayers. Everything went well and I appreciate all the thoughts. Gotta tell ya, that was the first surgery I’ve had and that sleep was awesome!!
Dr said all went as good as possible so my goal now is to be a good patient and recover quickly.
Blessings,
John
Good day in Enterprise
Spent the day in the office making sure everything is covered for the next few days. I am supposed to be at the surgery center at 8:45 in the morning (a real bummer. Wishing I was on a really early schedule) and will be an outpatient. Hoping to be home before noon anyway. Doc says it’s a 30.minute procedure with 2 small holes.
Anyway, I’ll miss my choir tomorrow night as they prepare for Sunday. Looking forward to being there Sunday morning.
Thanks for the prayers as we get all this straightened out!

Manic Monday
You know how Monday’s are, right? It was crazy at the office as well. Lots to recover from (i.e. tech glitches during Sunday’s service, new music and planning for Wednesday’s service, etc., etc) and then I’m trying to do a little more because of the impending surgery on Wednesday that will take me out for a couple of days.
Met today with my head tech guy concerning the Christmas music and all the tech needs involved. Got some ideas going on and things are beginning to take shape.
Planning on a little down time this evening and then completing the weeks worth of work tomorrow. Surgery on Wednesday.
Blessings,
John
Busy day!
wow…things began with an 8:00.a.m. rehearsal then 2 morning worship services then a 50 yr anniversary renewing of vows following. We went out to grab a bite before a 2:00 ordination council meeting and 3:00 deacons meeting. Things were over at 4:00 so I went to the office until youth choir at 5:00. Following choir we had supper for the kids provided by one of the ministry assistants and her family and Patty kicked in. The kids enjoyed the grilling and we got home about 6:45. Whew!
Great day…thanks for remembering us!

Saturday in Enterprise
The wedding was really nice and we arrived home after helping our friends clean a little, around 10:15 p.m.
This morning was the prayer breakfast at 7:30 and I just decided to stay in the office a few hours to get some “advanced” work done since I have the knee surgery coming up.
Looking forward to what God is going to do tomorrow!
Blessings,
John
Wedding
Well, I got in a few hours at the office before heading down to Panama City and the beach wedding I was officiating.
There was a constant breeze and the temps were tolerable so everything turned out wonderfully.
In the morning is Men’s Prayer breakfast so I’ll be getting another early start then will stay at the office to do some advance work for the worship ministry,
Blessings,
John
Home!
Just made it home to Enterprise. Now to unload then cut the yard. You see, it really looks rough and I have to be in the office early so I can get done what needs to be done before heading out to Panama City to officiate a wedding Friday evening.
Thanks for the prayers!
