Here we are in Phenix City, AL.  We left home at 12 noon today to get here, set up, and get situated.  We arrived and went straight to the church, Golden Acres Baptist Church, to move in equipment.  Once we set up the children’s pastor asked us what we’d like to do.  Did we want to go grab a bite or what?  We wanted to go by the hotel to move in equipment, after all it was only 4 p.m.  We told him we would meet at the resturant around 5.  He looked at me and said; “Well, that’s about 3 minutes from now”.  Hmmmmmm.  Here’s a bit of trivia for you.  Phenix City is the only city in the state of AL that is on eastern  time zone.  This is because it is the sister city of Columbus, GA, but did any of my AL friends tell me that?  Huh?  Nope!  Not even the children’s pastor in all of our phone and e-mail messages leading up to this event.  Whew……I’m sure glad we arrived when we did.

He wanted to have the salvation emphasis tonight.  The numbers were a bit low so the energy level was down a bit.  We had a few responses that are going to be followed up on so pray for the seed that was planted.  In the meantime, we’ll keep pressing on for Tues and Wed.
