Dallas Bay Baptist Retreat

Finally found a computer and now can catch you up on things.  We had the retreat Friday night and Saturday morning.  Great time!  We saw many decisions including 3 professions of faith.  Praise the Lord!

This morning I sung before the message and tonight I will present a concert using the horns, the ventriloquism, and singing.  Pray that we have a good crowd and that God will be raised up and glorified in everything.

Thanks again for keeping up with us.  You are a blessing!

Closing Service

Hi friends,

We closed out services this evening by “taking a trip to India”.  Gates Baptist was a partner in our trip so on this night I presented a power point presentation showing our work.  The people were responsive and very interested in that work so it was a good closing service.

Pray for the church as they continue with the call God has given them.  They are a wonderful group of people and I thank God I can call them friends.

We’ll pull out first thing in the morning for our trip home.  Thanks for the prayers!

Revival

Hi friends,

The revival services are going well.  We ask that you continue to pray that God would move in a mighty way at Gates Baptist Church.  I believe we are on the verge of God really breaking through so pray that He would show Himself in a great way!

Thanks

Travel to Gates, TN

Hi prayer partners!  Thanks for the prayers.  The weather began to deteriorate when we got just south of Jackson, TN, yesterday and the snow and sleet got heavier.  About an hr or so later we arrived in Gates and unloaded in the snow storm.  We knew it would be better to get the equipment at least moved in to the church that way we wouldn’t have to deal with it on Saturday not knowing what that day would bring.

Saturday

Well, it’s turned out to be a beautiful day.  The roads were pretty good, at least passable, so we headed to the church about 10:30 a.m. and got the set up done then got back to our host home.  Patty decided she wanted to build a snowman.  Seriously, she did.  Well I was watching from inside and she went ahead, determined as ever.  One thing….no gloves.  She’s out there building a snowman with no gloves!!  Talk about determination.  So, I went out and we took turns with my gloves…in other words she got her wish.  WE built a snow family.

We’ll begin services in the morning, Lord willing. Things are clearing pretty well so we’ll begin first thing in the morning.  Pray for His will to be done in each service.

Prayer

Hi friends.  We request your prayers for our travel Friday.  We are headed to Gates, TN, where they are expecting 2 to 5 inches of snow tomorrow and another 1 to 4 inches Friday night.  Doesn’t look good for travel but better than waiting for the truly frozen turf that’s bound to be there on Saturday.

We’ll be in touch!

Moss Point Upwards

Well, we arrived in Moss Point, MS, and set up for our final awards program on Wednesday evening.  The program went really well and there were a number of decisions to follow Christ.  We drove home following the program and arrived home a little after midnight.

Now we’ll change gears and prepare to leave home for a revival meeting north of Memphis.  There I will be leading revival services (music and preaching) for Gates Baptist Church, Gates, TN.

Thank you for your prayers

Upwards Awards Program

Praise the Lord!  What a great night.  The weather was terrible but didn’t move in  until we started the program and allowed folks to get in there with their families.  We had over 1000 in the high school auditorium and many decisions for Christ.  Only the Lord knows for sure.  Some were counseled and others responded during the prayer time but not during the altar call.

Thank you for your prayers as we continue the work.  We head tomorrow for a layover in Yazoo City before heading to Moss Point, MS, for another Upwards Awards Program.

God bless

Concert

Hi friends and thanks for the prayers.  The concert here in Ripley went well.  There was a good crowd and the people were very responsive.  We didn’t see any movement in the invitation but we know God’s word won’t return void.  We are calling, now, on all our warriors to really remember our program tomorow night (March 3).  The Upwards Award Program will be beginning at 6 p.m. and I will go first including the invitation before the awards are given out. There will be around 1000 people in the High School Auditorium for pray for every aspect.  Sound, voice, and response.

Thanks!!

Ripley, MS

We arrived and moved into FBC this evening.  We have the Sunday morning service tomorrow @ 9 a.m.  I’ll be participating in the morning service using that time as an introduction of this ministry.  Sunday evening we’ll be in concert then the Upwards Basketball Awards Program on Monday night.  It seems that FBC is the “meeting house” for the Upwards program in this city.  The awards program will be held at the city high school with over 1000 in attendance, all denominations.  Pray for this event.
